BoardGrowth is a board training and leadership development tool created by a faculty of field experts.

The leader of the group and founder is Bill Dann, a management consultant who has worked with hundreds of boards and their members to achieve Value Added Governance.

Bill Dann has consulted with governing boards for over 25 years. He has been a speaker before numerous association meetings on corporate governance. For six years, he was a celebrated adjunct professor in management at Boston University. He continues an active consulting practice, Professional Growth Systems, Inc., working with both management and governing boards to move organizations forward. Through BoardGrowth he continues his life long work of development of materials and tools to aid boards in meeting their inevitable challenges. Eric AlbertsonEric Albertson, Marketing Faculty

Eric Albertson has been a marketing and sales executive and mentor for companies of all sizes for more than 30 years. Companies like Dell, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Toshiba and American Express have enjoyed great financial and performance rewards as a result of working with Eric. He has also mentored many small companies that now boast similar profitability, if not equal name recognition. He has joined the BoardGrowth faculty to provide expertise in the area of sales and marketing. He sees a board's knowledge and guidance in this area to have great impact on the overall success of an organization and brings to BoardGrowth the knowledge and tools to enable a board to add value in this area. Eric has his own consulting practice, Albertson Performance Group, which seeks to help business leaders achieve their revenue and profit objectives. Nancy Wells

Nancy Wells, Fundraising Faculty

Nancy Wells has been a development manager and field fundraiser for over 22 years, with significant experience in major gifts and campaign planning. Currently serving as Vice President, Development for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Nancy previously served as Vice-Principal (Development and Alumni Relations) at McGill University and Associate Vice President for Development at Stanford University. Throughout her development career Nancy has had the pleasure of working closely with volunteer boards and committees to develop a level of fundraising comfort and skill that leads to successful results.

 

Jay FountainJay Fountain, Legal Faculty

Jay Fountain has served as an advocate and trusted counselor for clients across the country for over 30 years. Along the way, he has developed valued relationships and a wealth of understanding of why successful companies operate the way they do. He brings to BoardGrowth a lengthy list of experiences in day to day operations, community involvement, emerging businesses and start-ups. As with his practice, through BoardGrowth he will add value to boards and their members by sharing solutions that will anticipate and/or mitigate possible problems. Andrea GarrelsAndrea Garrels, BoardGrowth Associate

Andrea Garrels has designed and developed numerous tools for organizational improvement over her 15 years in consulting. She leads the Quality Division of Professional Growth Systems and is driven to provide valuable resources and tools that allow board members to implement best practices with the most effective processes. She holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
